Job Purpose
  1. To provide high quality reports to support executive management decisions in the organization, develop analysis and reporting capabilities with implementation of IT applications.
  2. To turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Responsibilities include data analysis and conducting reviews of the attainment of KPIs and annual work plans.
  3. To support the Senior Manager of the Unit in effective formulation and implementation of administrative and capital budgets, and the corporate business planning and performance management processes.
  4. To support the Unit in identifying, defining and monitoring KPIs, setting up the applications to implement data-driven reporting and execute operational efficiency measurements.
  5. The role will contribute in the formulation of Management Information and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Framework, (methodologies, policies, guidelines, procedures, Key Performance Indicators etc.) and participate strongly, in the effective implementation a Framework in the organization.
  6. The role will implement the performance reporting cycle based on the corporate performance business units with the aim of providing periodic and accurate information in the form of heat-maps, dashboards and analysis.

Responsibilities

1. System Implementation for BI (Business Intelligence) & Management Reporting
1.1 Identify and implement a corporate planning, budgeting and management reporting application that provides access to business users with performance monitoring related reports and dashboards.

1.2 Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data by identifying areas of improvement within the organizational deliverables.

1.3 Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality with the objective of having data-driven KPIs reporting.

2. Budget Preparation
2.1 Support the function in the preparation of the annual Budget Framework for review by Management and decision by Board of Directors; identifying opportunities for savings and redeployment; and providing feedback on implementation of strategic plans by assessing the units’ performance on an ongoing basis.

2.2 Guide and advise all of the Corporation’s units in their planning and analysis of budget requirements, preparation of budget requests, and management of allocated budgets.

2.3 Play a strong role in the formulation of budget preparation and implementation guidelines and procedures for all organizational units so as to put in place and manage an effective best practice budget allocation system.

2.4 Consolidate and evaluate the administrative and capital budget based on the unit’s business plans and budget requests.

2.5 Support the Unit Head in preparing and presenting the departmental and consolidated budget for further approval.

3. Corporate Performance Management Reporting Framework, Tools and Methodologies
3.1 Significantly contribute in the conceptualization and thought process in designing suitable corporate performance management reporting framework such as dashboards, appropriate techniques and methodologies of linking performance indicators with budgetary resource requirements of business units.

3,2 Design and plan the updating, maintenance of the Performance Management Framework (policies, guidelines, procedures, methodology, tools, balanced scorecard instrument, Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Required Knowledge

  1. In-depth understanding of the budgeting processes, tools and methodologies, Budget Variance analysis and relevant Accounting practices
  2. Strong working knowledge of planning and business performance management
  3. Distinguished technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques along with a strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.).
  4. Good working knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the ability to report corporate performance using KPIs
  5. Awareness of current industry best practices, procedures, tools and methodologies used in monitoring and reporting corporate performance
  6. Strong ability / knowledge of principles of Financial Analysis
  7. Up-to-date knowledge of latest developments in planning and business performance management methodologies, techniques, tools, etc.
  8. Working knowledge of Business Objects, Oracle Hyperion, databases or other BI applications is desirable.
